The Academy of Church Law and Ethics

Church leaders routinely tell us they feel unequipped to handle organizational decisions with ethical and moral implications. Does that surprise you? Certainly church leaders should be able to make a moral decision. In short, they can. However, in many instances they cannot make that decision alone. How many pastors have been fired for saying no? How many pastors have been chastised for making a decision without consulting all the stakeholders. It happens all the time. On top of that, many pastors do not know what they need to do to comply with the law. Church law was not taught at their seminary. At the Academy, we work to change that by equipping church leaders with the knowledge and skills they need to ethically and legally lead their church.
